We're actively looking for a dedicated and empathetic Support Worker to become part of our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in improving the quality of life for people with Mental; Health and/or Psychosocial Disabilities, offering personalised care and assistance aligned with their individual needs and aspirations. Your compassion and trauma-informed approach will be invaluable in fostering a safe space that is inclusive and caring.
Key Responsibilities:

Providing quality and genuine support services to individuals with disabilities.

Aid clients with daily living tasks, including building daily life skills and emotional & mental support.

Foster community inclusion and assist clients in engaging in social and recreational endeavors.

Work alongside a diverse therapeutic team to craft and execute personalised support strategies.

Foster autonomy and inspire clients to reach their goals.

Champion the rights and requirements of people with disabilities.
To be successful in this role, you will posses the following:

Relevant qualification, minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health, Disability Support, or equivalent.

Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for transportation, as the role may involve supporting participants in various community settings.

Valid WWCC (Blue Card)

Valid NDISWSC (Yellow Card)

Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate

Valid National Criminal History Check (No older than one year)

Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals with mental health challenges and complexed trauma.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with participants, their families, and other stakeholders.

Proficiency in managing crisis situations and providing appropriate support to individuals in distress.

Commitment to delivering person-centered support, tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each participant.

Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers and healthcare professionals.

Respect for cultural diversity and the ability to provide culturally sensitive support to participants from diverse backgrounds.

Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in mental health support.
